FPS public engagement event in Trawden Summer 2025. The event was a huge success and every chair in the place was in use plus we had folk standing at the back.

FPS had a good day on Saturday at Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve open day (Elland). AUGUST 2ND

Lots of support with like minded groups, 42 MP postcards collected from a range of areas (see results) plus more people took away to post themselves.

Yvonne’s postcards very much liked and went down well. Jenny kindly gave a draft newsletter update.

Got some volunteers (lady in pink from Brighouse jumped in on the spot and did a sterling job!). Made some new contacts & collected ideas/input. The weather was glorious with lots of educational stands etc.

A good day all in all.

A very successful stall on Haworth Main street, supported by the owner of the Apothecary Tearooms, who suggested we leave some of our MP postcards for customers to sign, then we can collect. We met Robbie Moore at the Mass Wuther, who said we can drop off signed postcards at his office, and he will make sure the various MPs get them via internal mail. We collected 83 postcards, 15 for Robbie, 4 for Josh GG. Thanks to Yvonne for making and getting the postcards printed and Sarah, Fran, Jackie and Julie who helped me and Stuart at the stall.
Planting Sphagnum Moss. Important volunteering to help restore peatlands in Calderdale.
